We received an email today that may be of interest to chiropractors in the Surrey area.

Dear Therapist

We are sending you this email to introduce our health fair to you on 11th October 2009 in Tolworth, Surrey.  The aim of this fair is to promote natural health to the local population. To excite the public we have invited leading speakers, such as Patrick Holford to the event.

By natural health we mean therapies that use natural methods (i.e. no drugs/pharmaceuticals) to resolve health issues or to promote good health.  We require that all the therapies and products in the fair are based on natural products.

As a therapist in Surrey, how would you like to be a part of a health fair that puts you in front of hundreds of local prospective clients for £75?  We aim to get just 1 therapist from each surrounding area (Kingston, Epsom, Wimbledon, etc) to our fair, with a maximum of 5 therapists in each field (hypnotherapy, reflexology, osteopathy, etc), so you, as an exhibitor, would have little or no local direct competition.

As mentioned above we are also holding a number of lectures on different therapy fields, and so far have invited Patrick Holford, a leading spokesman on nutrition and mental health issues, discussing “Food for the Brain”.  We have also asked Paul White, Chairman of the National Council for Hypnotherapy to come along and talk about “The Benefits of Hypnotherapy”.

Next Tuesday (12th Feb) Mike Hutchinson and Ross Martin (finance 4 chiropractors and Kelsall Steele Accountants) are meeting with the 5th year students at the Anglo European College of Chiropractors (AECC) to speak with them about finance, business and basic tax.

The session is aimed to be light-hearted yet informative and leave the students with a better idea of what to do when starting in self employment or employment as a chiropractor.  

Topics covered:

• Self employment v employment
• Why it is important to keep accounts records
• How to manage your accounts
• Demo of our free issue bookkeeping software
• Benefits and advantages of properly keeping accounts
• The importance of knowing how your business is performing
• How to avoid an investigation by the Inland Revenue
• Brief insight to the tax system, including maximising tax relief whilst still staying on the right side of the law!

There will be a Q&A section as well to make the seminar flexible and adaptable to the students.

We hope everyone who attends will find it useful and welcome feedback following it.

finance 4 chiropractors have just sent off the forms to attend the United Chiropractic Association Spring Seminar in March 2007. Is anyone attending?

We have attended quite a few of these before and understand that it is a busy day for chiropractors with the seminars you attend.

A few of the team at finance 4 chiropractors have just met to discuss whether to attend the British Chiropractic Association, "Practice Management" Seminar on Saturday February 10th. Is anyone attending this seminar?
